I donated a kidney under Dr. Ladie’s care. The timing was after the Christmas/New Year holiday, and she still made time to reach out to me the night before and the morning of the laparoscopic donor nephrectomy to make sure my questions were answered and nerves were calmed. The surgery was estimated to take 3-4 hours, and she reached out to my wife after just 3 hours with the good news of the successful surgery. The incisions are small, healing beautifully and with minimal discomfort. The entire UPMC-Harrisburg team has been phenomenal! It’s been a great experience, and I would highly recommend both her and her team.
