I came into urgent care with an injured finger, almost certain it's fractured because I've had a fracture before. He looked at it for maybe 10 seconds, decided it was jammed and moved along. I looked at him like I was expecting an x-ray, because that's what doctors do. He hesitated, then said we'd do one. After it was done, he came in and said good news, and there was no fracture in my bone. He mentioned one of the x-ray photos had a blip in it, but he thinks it was because I moved my hand. I asked to see, and told him that was the photo I was the most still for. He took a closer look, and then said 'You know, I cannot tell if it's broken or not.' I asked to do another x-ray to find out, he declined and said it's too much radiology..? He gave me a splint, and told me if it was broken to keep it on for 3-4 weeks, if it's jammed, for 1. He gave no other instruction, I was given a page full of home care, which he did not explain whatsoever. He was very ignorant and seemed to be in a rush.
