As a patient with genetic kidney disease: I've been a patient of Dr. Schmidt for years. He is incredibly good at long term care for me (a chronic kidney disease patient.) I was born with kidney disease & at 80 I'm not yet on dialysis & I attribute me success to grace ofSGod & also to Dr. Schmidt's excellent care. I have ADPKD & with that I need an exceptionally good kidney Dr. Fortunately Durango nephrology offers the best in kidney care. When the Southern Ute tribe gave land to the hospital (to bulid a beautiful new hospital) the tribe required the hospital to promise to have an exceptional nephrology department. The hospital complied. Thanks Southern Ute tribe , the entire area benefited from this. I would (& do) reccommend this Dr. to family, friends & anyone else I can. I drive 100 miles I access this stellar care. That's simply how good he is, & the hospital where he is based is also incredibly good.
