Patient Reviews
Nov 03, 2021
Dr. Thacker went in for a routine galbladder surgery via my navel using the Davincci Robot. Woke up in recovery and was told the machine broke and he did it via 2 different holes. Was told I could go back to work the next day but felt horrible. Called the nurse 3 days later and said I was getting worse and she said I would be ok. 5 days after surgery I couldn’t walk and was in excruciating pain. Spouse took me to ER and was in the hospital for 5 days! Ended up he didn’t use a clamp and nicked my bile duct, so I had stomach bile freely flowing into my abdomen. Had to have a special stint put in place to stop the leak for a month. Ever since thissurgery I’ve had crazy high elevated liver enzyme panel. Negative hepatitis tests, and had an actual liver biopsy performed showing no liver damage. Points to a new issue with my liver from my botched gallbladder removal! 5 years later I still have bad liver enzymes, will probably get cirrosis, and liver failure at this point!
