I had a terrible near fatal auto crash on March 29, 2004 on a remote desert highway in Arizona. I was flown by chopper to UMC in Las Vegas. I was dying from the injuries. Dr Hindle and Dr John Fildes performed multiple surgeries. I was given a 11% chance of recovery. I survived with memory totally intact and all my limbs intact as well, thanks to the two of them. I have now had 20 additional years of a useful and meaningful life. It includes playing 17 major roles in local theatre musical productions and hosting a terrestrial radio station talk show. My recovery has been so good that I am still working full time at 82 as the local county Communications Director. I’m a very, very lucky guy. However, luck only goes so far. Two great doctors made my good luck a reality.
