This doc was patronizing and dismissive. He literally laughed at me when I told him the reason why another doctor THAT I HAD JUST SEEN MINUTES EARLIER sent me to the ER. I listened and took his advice on what to do (which was to do nothing). But when I asked him a question about following up with my PCP the next day, he said "well it sounds like you have your mind already made up" and that "if you are just beside yourself then I guess so". But then when I asked "so I shouldn't let my PCP know?", he told me that of course I should always follow up with my PCP -- very confusing. I reassured him that I wanted nothing more than to go home. I suspect he thought I was a hypochondriac. I felt embarrassed that I had even sought care. His reaction was such that I am worried he is going to retaliate against the doc who sent me to the ER. That is not how a doctor is supposed to make you feel.
