The nurse did not introduce himself to me, and only when asked did he say that the second person was a student. He left me with her to take my oxygen - no BP taken. Dr Maddock arrived 25 minutes later, also entering without any introduction. He did not listen beyond my initial statement of why I was leaving another gastro's practice. I have never in my life been confronted with a person - of whatever profession - greet me with the astonishment of 'confusion' which he would not allow me to explain, as I tried unsuccessfully to describe what had transpired at the former physician's office.. Or was he 'stuck' on my having left one practice and that was the 'reason' he couldn't seem to get past his being 'confused', which he repeated at least five times . My rage has calmed; I am still amazed that a physician could be that condescending, that belittling, and that UNPROFESSIONAL.
