I had high hopes that Dr. Harvey might be a compassionate and supportive provider. Instead, I spent an hour being shamed, invalidated, and outright rejected. He seemed more interested in diagnosing me as untreatable than in actually listening to me. As someone with rejection sensitivity, I left that office feeling retraumatized, emotionally wrecked, and deeply disappointed.This was not psychiatry. This was paternalistic, outdated, and damaging. If you are neurodivergent, trauma-informed, or seeking a safe space to heal—look elsewhere. This is not it.
