As someone who was previously diagnosed with endometriosis (laparoscopically 10 years ago), I thought it would be easier to get the help I needed especially since I was referred to a surgical gynocologist. I hadn't had but 1 PAP my whole life and have not been prescribed anything for any of my symptoms, ever. I saw Dr. Havin and I did all the tests and the ultrasound in a timely manner to hopefully get some relief of my symptoms. Instead, I was diagnosed with another disease which is nearly impossible to know if you really have it. I didnt recieve any calls back about all my labs and tests until I called 3 times a week later AFTER having to go to the emergency room due to my symptoms. My PAP samples were "accidentally" thrown away. He prescribed me metformin for this new disease but did not do any glucose/kidney/liver checks beforehand. He did not care about my quality of life, had no compassion or any progressive knowledge of endometriosis. If you have endo, avoid this doctor.
