Stay far far away. This is one of those sketchy, money-grabbing practices. I went in for my annual exam. In my pre-exam form, I noted a concern I've been having [nothing serious, just a concern about my cycle]. Right before the doctor was supposed to come in, a nurse informed me that if I wanted to discuss my concern, the office would charge me for both my annual exam and a "problem visit". I've never heard of such a thing. Isn't your annual the best time to chat through any questions and concerns?? Shouldn't that be an important piece of the one-yearly check-up? The nurse checked with Dr. Huang, who confirmed that she would not discuss any concerns with me without charging for the additional visit. That was all the info I needed to get up and walk out. This is not a caring, patient-focused doctor. This is someone in it for money. RUN!!!
