Dr. Emerson did an aortic and mitral valve replacement on my father over Father’s Day weekend. My father had open heart surgery over 24 years ago and had metal valves placed. Doctors gave the valves 15 years of life and his lasted 24 years! Unfortunately he had a heart attack back in February and by June we found our way to Dr. Emerson at Cedars Sinai. Dr. Emerson was absolutely amazing. He made sure we understood the whole process, answered any questions and made my dad feel extremely comfortable. Of course just like anyone would, my dad was terrified. After meeting Dr. Emerson, he was completely confident. My dad came out of the surgery and was walking THE NEXT MORNING! We are so grateful for you Dr. Emerson. This photo was taken after discharge a week later at my father’s favorite diner. I have you to thank for this.
