The physician lacked empathy during appointments and was dismissive of the symptoms I shared with her. I was referred by a female friend, so maybe this physician is more empathetic to female patients and less empathetic towards male patients. I requested a physician change and found a physician that provided me the empathy, professionalism and recovery plan to address my symptoms. Unfortunately, my initial symptoms grew more severe and increased in number during the treatment time with this physician, so my recovery process has been very difficult and lengthy.
