Dr. Powell performed a UFE on me in May of 2024. The MRI imaging was completed by a different Interventional Radiologist at a hospital in my hometown. Unfortunately, the imaging Dr. Powell received didn't show all the fibroids. One was pressing on my aortic artery another was pressing kidney. Dr. Powell and his team did an incredible job of navigating a surprisingly complex situation. I cannot say enough about Dr. Powell's skill level. Due to the very large and numerous fibroids, it was estimated that I would see a 30-50 percent improvement in my symptoms of heavy bleeding and fibroid mass. I have had 3 cycles since the procedure and have experienced no heavy bleeding at all. My improvement has been 100% in terms of blood loss! I have not yet had the MRI completed to determine how much they have shrunk. I lost 2 inches off of my waist in the first 3 weeks. I can see and feel that there has been a decrease in the fibroids. I recommend Dr. Powell to anyone who is dealing with fibroids.
