Patient Reviews
Apr 26, 2023
My child suffered from several depression as a teen and following hospitalization, was under continued care with Dr. Sakhrani. My child continued to suffer despite being on the medication for the length of time that it should have helped, so Dr. Sakhrani told me she wanted to change my child's diagnosis from MDD to BPD so she could "try" different medications on her. This, despite the fact that my child had ZERO evidence of mania! When I told Dr. Sakhrani I would not consent to this treatment, she dismissed us from her care, stating that my child would almost certainly commit suicide and that she couldn't risk the liability. She then told my child that she was dismissing us because the parents would not comply, which of course made my child feel even more hopeless and angry. I should have sued her for malpractice.
