I felt that Dr Cumpa listened carefully to my complicated health problems (instead of just dismissing me as a cranky hypochondriical old woman). I am rarely taken seriously by doctors because I have previously been labelled as having mental-health issues; and that ugly stigma overshadows all other health conditions for most doctors. Dr Cumpa actually examined me for diagnosable ailments that are not related to 'hysteria.' I felt heard, and I hope accompanied in my time of illness. I was asked to return in 7-14 days (after bloodwork results are available).
