As a rheumatologist, Dr. Tackey should do a thorough physical exam when a patient is referred to him with joint pain in many places by another medical professional. Dr. Tackey never did a physical exam. He simply ordered lab tests based on what I told him. Based on the lab results, at the second appointment he Prescribed a vitamin for 4 months and said we’ll see what happens with that. So in the first two appointments Dr. Tackey never touched a single joint. When the four months were almost up and the pain just kept increasing I decided to go to another rheumatologist while on vacation. That rheumatologist did palpate my joints, look at my skin, finger nails, everything. As a result, I got a diagnosis. If Dr.Tackey would have just done a physical exam 4 months earlier, he would have seen the same thing as all of the signs and symptoms were present from the first visit. Run as fast as you can to a doctor that is not afraid to do a physical exam. Dr. Tackey is in Dover, DE now.
