Set up an initial appointment with doctor Itenberg to talk through what to do about my rectal prolapse. He gave me 3 different options for repair and explained each very well.He suggested a laparoscopic ventral mesh rectopexy - and explained why he thought it was best. He also had a resident with him and I could hear them talking through what to do with me - though the appointment took longer than expected - I love that he was teaching/mentoring.I booked the surgery and he was so nice and supportive the day of the surgery. Very kind and calm - offered to answer any questions I had.After the surgery he sent a couple other doctors on his surgery team to check on me. I felt very cared for and I will continue seeing Dr. Itenberg.He isn’t the “warm and fuzzy doc, but he isn’t cold and distant either. He is professional and an excellent surgeon…which is exactly what I needed!
