I made appointment with Dr Schochet for stomach issues for March 14. Dr Schochet recommended an Endoscopy and colonoscopy. I made an appointment and received a call from the office manager Jen that I had to reschedule procedure because the doctor had an emergency. I was rescheduled for March 28 to have the procedure done. After procedure an appointment was scheduled for two weeks on April 14 to receive results. I received a call again from the office manager Jen that I had to reschedule because the doctor had an emergency. I was rescheduled for April 26. Again I received a call saying I had to reschedule because Dr Schochet's mother passed away. I told Jen that I was leaving for a two week cruise and needed to know my results so that I wouldn't eat or drink anything to upset my stomach depending on my results. She said the doctor took all of his March patients records and she had no access to them. I said can I make an appointment to see him when I return and she said that won't be necessary I'll have the doctor call you when he returns on monday. I reminded her I'll be on a cruise if he can just leave a message. As of today May 21,I haven't heard back from anyone in that office. Two months is unacceptable to wait for results in my opinion. Dr Schochet should be aware that there is a serious problem with his office staff. While I was very pleased with Dr Schoket, something is seriously wrong with his office staff. I have talked to several friends who are patients of Dr Schoket and all are experiencing the same problems with office staff and considering using another doctor.
