I met Dr Kaplan for an endoscopy because she was the doctor who had the earliest appointment. I was really surprised when she didn’t even introduce herself or really greet me and instead chatted with the nurses (standing right next to me) about her personal life. After my procedure, her nurse said I was fine and dismissed me. Dr Kaplan didn’t even bother to tell me my results. I suffered with GI issues for another 8 months silently. Finally, I mentioned my symptoms to my primary care who examined my test results and told me I had inflammation. I expect a doctor to greet me like a human being and to speak to me about my results. I’ve never been so disappointed in a doctor before. I hope Dr Kaplan uses this feedback to be more mindful of her patients in the future.
