That quote is what stands out from my visit. I did not mention insulin levels and don't know why she did. Actually what she said was 'your insulin levels are normal, so....' and I stopped her and asked 'who ever checked my insulin levels?' That's when she said they don't matter. No one's checked them because they don't matter. I was there to get help with my consistently downtrending glucose that is a full time job keeping up with and I feel AWFUL every day. All she saw was my numbers mostly in range and assumed that's not solely due to my CONSTANT vigilance and great hypo awareness. It's not my fault that my body warns me before I'm out of range and therefore I'm often able to stay in range but it's STILL MISERABLE. So what i unfortunately took from the appointment was the idea that if I'm a bit less vigilant and let it drop more, I'll be taken seriously. Yikes.Yes I know if she reads this she'll know exactly who I am. I don't care anymore. This set of symptoms is debilitating.
