Finding a mental health professional that is right for you can be a hassle. I lucked out when Dr. Summerall took over the practice when my old psychiatrist moved away. It’s a perfect fit. She is so knowledgeable and you can tell she is educated in so many areas of mental health and health in genera. But she isn’t pretentious and is great at listening to your issues and then explaining what may be causing them. Since I started seeing her I have been much more stable and I finally feel like my meds are being well managed. She keeps tabs on how everything is interacting as it should and adjusts when necessary. She also keeps way better notes than other doctors I have had (and I mean any doctor, not just previous psychiatrists because it feels like we pick up right where we left off. When things are in-person again it will be worth the drive from Summerville to Mt. P to see her. Would definitely recommend her to anyone whenever she accepts new patients.
