Enough information is not provided to the patient or given to the doctor before a procedure is done. A very nice assistant looks at your MRIs and tells you where a shot will be inserted. However, neither the assistant nor Dr. Hanley examines you or even asks where it hurts. They do not touch or press anywhere on your body to be sure that the shot will be successful. They only go on the MRIs. Also, when you go in for your procedure, Dr. Hanley is nowhere to be seen. The result was no reduction in pain. Perhaps if it had been approached with a 'patient first' diagnostic procedure, the result would have been positive.
