Dr. Settecase performed a cerebral angiogram on me while I was admitted through the ER at CPMC for a brain hemorrhage. Despite having health insurance and full coverage, his office submitted the claim to my insurance as out of network (even though I was at CPMC under emergency services) and is claiming I owe them $22,000 for the diagnostic procedure. This dispute has gone on now for 4 months with no resolution. I have great medical insurance and despite dozens of hours on the phone with my insurance company and Dr. Settecase’s office, there is no end in sight and they claim I owe them this exorbitant amount. If it’s not resolved soon, I’ll be reporting them through the federal “No Surprises Act”
