The only positive aspect of this visit was the office staff, who were polite and professional. My experience with Dr. Patel was entirely negative. I scheduled a physical but was given a medication review instead, with no acknowledgment that my appointment type had been changed. She did not ask about my concerns, goals, or the steps I’ve been taking to support my health.Her approach was rigid, limited to vaccines, statins, blood pressure, and blood sugar medications. She gave misinformation about my blood pressure prescription, dismissing the twice-daily dosing my prior physician had prescribed for fluctuating readings. For ongoing sleep difficulties, she suggested an SSRI — a medication for depression, which I do not have — instead of addressing the sleep issue appropriately. She offered no acknowledgment of the lifestyle changes I’ve made, no nutritional or wellness guidance, and no constructive suggestions beyond pills.
