This past week, I underwent prostate surgery at the MSK facility and was incredibly fortunate to have Dr. Felix Cheung at the helm. As I’ve mentioned before, beyond his remarkable surgical skill, Dr. Cheung’s compassionate, one-on-one consultations were a tremendous comfort and helped calm my pre-surgery nerves.I would be remiss if I didn’t also recognize the outstanding, caring team who worked alongside him:Primary Nurse: StephanieSame Day Hospital (SDH) M2 PACU - Recovery Team:Pre-Op Nurse Ron, Nurse Klaudia Bey, Nurse Julie Berkely, Nurse Siana Pascal, Nurse Annie Mapell, Jada Kapoor (Fellow), Anesthesia Nurse Kaitlyn J., Anesthesia Attending Dr. Camille Fontaine, and Patient Care Technicians Esther Donado and Francis MartinezTheir collective professionalism, kindness, and teamwork made all the difference in my experience.
