I just had the most shocking experience I’ve ever had with a doctor. I chose Dr. Frank Tortorice as my new primary care provider, based on his listed experience in cardiac, sleep, metabolic health. After my first visit, he took over my care, but when it came time to refill a long-term medication I’ve taken for over 15 years (not a benzo, pain or psych med), his office said “he doesn’t prescribe these meds.” No one mentioned this before or during my visit. I was promised a specialist referral that never materialized. At my follow-up, Dr. Tortorice refused to even see me after I waited 90 minutes, and my private health information was discussed in front of other patients in the waiting room. No reason was given. I asked him how to safely manage the med I require when I am down to 3 pills? Stopping this med abruptly can cause seizures. He ignored my questions and called security on me. I am devastated and deeply concerned with this doctor’s practice. Zero compassion or care.
