Last weekend, my mother slipped on hardwood and broker her shoulder. Her experience with Dr. Garret Nix was absolutely horrible. It’s understandable that one may be flustered or exacerbated, but the lack of care that was shown for my mother was unacceptable. The doctor was short, rude, and clearly annoyed at having to care and do his job. The nurse did not know how to put on the arm sling, and looked to Garret for help. He proceeded to say “that looks fine” and leave it be, but in reality the sling was not on correctly, fell off, and was followed by my mother having to hold her arm in place for a day until one of her army friends put on the sling correctly. Are you telling me a doctor doesn’t know how to put on a sling? The lack of care shown by Garret caused my mom a day of excruciating pain and not usable arms. I will not call him Dr. Nix because his attitude is the opposite of what a doctor should be. He should be ashamed and rethink his profession and what it means to help people.
