After emergency surgery following an ectopic pregnancy, I started having severe abdominal pain. Dr. Fortner concluded that I must have an STD and refused to consider any other option. He was condescending and left me humiliated and wary of doctors. Several years later, I finally began trusting doctors again. Unfortunately, the damage of ignoring the true diagnosis left me with no other treatment but a hysterectomy. After talking to several people who have been treated by Dr. Fortner, I have concluded that if you are older, he is a safe choice (as long as you don't have complicated medical issues). If you are younger, I suggest finding someone else.
