Patient Reviews
Jul 14, 2021
Dr. Lichtenstein was very dismissive of me. I was diagnosed with severe Crohn's by another doctor and was referred to Penn's IBD program. I originally saw a different doctor in the practice who sent me for surgery to remove parts of my intestine due to strictures. Shortly after surgery, the other doctor retired so I saw Dr. Lichtenstein. He tried to tell me that I just abused NSAIDS and didn't really have Crohn's. I told him drinking water made me more nauseous and he said that shouldn't happen... but it does. He dismissed all of my concerns and just told me my experiences were invalid. I wanted to tell him to ask my resected bowel tissue if I had Crohn's or not.
