My 91 year old mother suffered from intense back pain and was left ok’ing for relief. Her rehab facility scheduled a follow up appointment with Dr Inamdar whose office failed to write down. They said they’d fit her in, so the dr came out to consult with Mom in the waiting room, with other patients within earshot and view. Her recommendation was…”Isn’t it wonderful that you have pain!? It’s a reminder that you’re alive! There isn’t any medication I can give you. Go home and be thankful you’re alive.” It didn’t surprise me about the meds, or not offering any other pain relief, but consulting in a public space was demeaning and wrong.
