Dr Janas was very resistant to providing any information (to pt or any my family member) who was severe trauma pt in ER. We were concerned and asked how he was doing (after 4 hrs) as I am in medical profession and Dr Janas delivery made him appear very upset and was raising his voice when asked for update regarding our family member who in critical condition. He did not inform us of pneumothorax and other critical injuries to organs which was revealed on CT scan much earlier. I was a bit surprised on his resistance to update family being that I am a Cleveland Clinic provider this type of condescending, rude responses would never result in positive patient satisfaction scores for a facility. I recommend that if this physician embrace the component of updating patient or family members with respectful rather than resistant responses and perhaps may greatly improve Mercy’s Patient satisfaction scores.
