Coming from working in healthcare myself I had a consult with this surgeon. Something didn't feel right the minute I walked in. Always go with that gut feeling. Eventhough I work in healthcare I fell on a temporary difficult time due to domestic violence, my insurance wasn't the best I understand that but temporary. This guy treated me like I didn't deserve his time. He made me feel I couldn't ask questions, it annoyed him. He said I had additional issue not covered by insurance and he wanted $800+ up front from me (not even the case, two days later when consulting with different surgeons, there was no other issue and no way it cleared up in two days). Very unprofessional, bedside manor was the worst I've seen in my 32yrs working in healthcare. And to be fair you should treat all patients with dignity no one is less important because of their life situation. That's having compassion for people which Dr Sandau surely does not!! You could feel the coldness the moment you walked in the door.. October 18, 2023
