I just had an appointment with Dr. Myrin today. While he was kind, I really felt as though he was disengaged and focused only on how he could make money from me on an assembly line business model of care - not provide me the best treatment that was tailored to my needs.I’m trying to verbalize why I was so uncomfortable and I think it boils down to - an assembly line care model that he employs and the unprofessionalism he displays as a physician.Once Dr. Myrin realized that I may need a more personalized care plan than the 4 minute plan he gives to everyone with my injury, he essentially disengaged and couldn’t get out of the room fast enough.He didn’t make eye contact with me, didn’t try to come up with any personalized care treatment, and was essentially - disengaged.When I got home a few minutes ago, I thought to myself - what did I just pay for because I learned nothing and there was no treatment plan developed.
