I just started seeing Dr. Schivone this past year, and I've never had a more patient, gentle, and respectful OBGYN than her. I feel like I am actually being heard when I voice any concerns, which is sadly rare in this field, I've found. I also have previous traumas, and she is so slow, verbal, and gentle during any exams and tells you exactly what she's about to do before she does it. If anything is uncomfortable, painful, or stressful, she immediately listens and changes it up to accommodate the patient without making it seem inconvenient at all. She's very thorough in informing you about what any procedure or exam may entail. I am on the younger side and have heard horrible stories of young people with uteruses trying to get tubal ligations when they are 100% confident in their choice, and Dr. Schivone did not make me fight whatsoever to have my voice heard. She made sure I was informed of all options, but she respected my decision and did not make it a battle.
