I brought my son in to have an ankle injury evaluated. We arrived on time but still waited an hour and a half to see the MD. I felt like Dr. Sun had his mind made up about “what was best for us” before he did a physical exam or even talked to us about the injury or our situation. Not once did he ask us what our desired outcome was and was reluctant to discuss options. He just told us how we were wrong in our thinking and kept telling us the only sensible option was physical therapy. There are a lot of pictures hanging on the walls of high profile athletes expressing their gratitude for the excellent services they received. However, if you are not one of these elite athletes you probably won’t be taken seriously. To be fair, Dr. Sun is part of the larger TOSH system and is probably obligated to recommend PT or other in house services before even discussing surgery so that they can optimize their revenue. Overall I was disappointed. I felt unimportant. Corporate medicine at its finest
