Patient Reviews
Apr 27, 2026
I found Dr. Barber’s clinical approach to be dismissive and lacking in basic professional curiosity. Despite his academic background, he demonstrated a significant lack of cultural competency and seemed uninterested in listening to my specific concerns. Rather than following the standard psychiatric protocol of ruling out underlying medical conditions or physical causes first, he moved immediately to a pharmaceutical-heavy treatment plan. It felt as though he was relying on a predetermined "toolkit" rather than tailoring care to my actual needs as a patient. I did not feel heard or respected during our session, and I would not recommend him to anyone looking for a medical professional who values a comprehensive, patient-centered approach.
