I was referred to Dr. Gasbarro with the recommendations that he was 'the very best' and 'if I had to have shoulder surgery, he'd be the only one I'd have operate on me.' These statements have proved to be quite true! Three and a half months after my reverse total shoulder replacement of my right (dominant arm) shoulder, I'm back to 95% or better than I'd been in years, pain-free from the start, no nerve damage whatsoever, and, with PT twice weekly, even stronger than before. The surgery itself was done early morning and I was home early afternoon the same day. At both pre-surgery and post-surgical follow-ups, Dr. Gasbarro and his PA Catherine Novotny (who popped into my room just prior to the surgery to check to make sure I was comfortable and ready) were & continue to be very caring and informative, providing everything I might need to know and taking plenty of time to answer any and all of my questions. My left shoulder replacement surgery is scheduled & I anticipate equal results.
