Dr. Werkhoven has been my podiatrist for many years. I had no idea he was also a surgeon until about 3 years ago, when I went to the ER one night with an unrelated medical issue. I was very sick and woke up in the ICU with him standing at the foot of my bed. I needed emergency surgery, but had to be stabilized first. He saved my life! I will be eternally grateful. He is still my podiatrist! I can't say enough good things about him. He is the best of their best. He works hard and I mean hard, long hours! He never stops!! He listens to his patient as though they were the only patient he has.
