Told me I would just have to “live with” my fatigue. Told me it was because I was a “menstruating female”. I’ve never met another female in my life who can sleep as much as I do, sometimes up to 20 hours a day. It was an insensitive and inconsiderate thing to say to a 19 year old girl who’d missed out on most of her life because she was too fatigued to do anything. It’s still not fixed and I’m 22 now. He made me feel more helpless leaving the appointment than when I went in and made me lose faith that doctors actually care to help. Awful experience, heartbreaking to a young girl who just wants help.
