We confirmed with Avista hospital that all care was covered for our delivery minus our deductible and asked for no uncovered pediatricians to come in and bill us for additional services. Avista said only pediatricians included in their delivery fees were allowed to come in. Dr. Hunter came in to examine my son and perform a circumcision when I was tired and drowsy from c section meds. I was told her visit was included in our labor and delivery costs. She billed our insurance almost 9,000 for care, almost $1000 we need to pay. The circumcision she did on my son was not successful and now he needs to see a urologist to correct the issue her circumcision created. Extremely disappointed and won’t be paying this bill.
