Today, I had the opportunity to speak with Dr. El Hamamsy for about 45 minutes regarding the Ross procedure. I also spent over 8 hours reviewing educational lectures and talks where he teaches surgeons internationally and discusses his approach to this operation. Additionally, I have interviewed six surgeons so far.He is widely regarded as the most experienced Ross procedure surgeon in the world, handling the highest volume of cases—and has been instrumental in establishing Ross programs at multiple hospitals in the United States, Canada, and other countries. His deep knowledge and ability to clearly explain complex topics are very impressive.My personal interaction with him was extremely positive. He came across as kind, highly intelligent, and very thorough in answering questions.His team has also been excellent. Joseph, the intake specialist, has been very helpful. Leemoor, the office manager, has been great to work with. Amanda has also been excellent throughout the process.
