I haven't had my surgery yet with him, but hopefully will be completing top surgery with him in July. Coming out as trans and pursuing medical care for my body dysphoria has been a scary, scary process, and there's been roadblocks and non-believers who've tried to hold me back. Dr. Kong is not one of these, instead he's been a breath of fresh air in an otherwise polluted environment. He's never made me feel strange or inhuman, and has been very receptive and compassionate to my desires and plight. He also does a good job of making sure I understand his work and my surgery, which is amazing in itself, but is also helpful to me because I'm uncomfortable with doctors and scared of surgery. His willingness to share his knowledge with me has helped ease that.
