This has been a nightmare! Had ACDF surgery on October 15 and Dr. Nyguen was so eager to send me home right after surgery the same day. After surgery, I was in incredible pain and couldn’t even walk. I also have lupus, which Dr. Nyguen was made aware of in the beginning, so this was very hard on my body. The Physical Therapy department kept me in the hospital for two days because they felt it unsafe for me to leave the hospital. Once released, I was assigned home health care to provide a nurse as well as PT. I had to use a walker for a few days and my neck has been hurting and stiff. Home health couldn’t understand why I wasn’t given a neck brace. On October 29went to see him for two week check up. He was almost 40 mins late while I sat in pain and didn’t seem to care that I was. Didn’t even examine me. Looked at Steri strips from across the room once my husband asked if he was going to remove them. He said no they will fall off. Said he couldn’t help with pain and see you in 1 month.
