I went to the ER 8/27/21 and was sent home yet again without any relief or resolution for an umbilical hernia. Then to literally add insult to injury, after reading the ER notes, I see that my pain level and bulge severity was repeatedly minimized by Dr. Nossett even though he literally pushed the bulge back in while examining me. So, of course I would “appear comfortable” but I definitely was not. The level of pain was a 12 (passed the 1-10 chart) before going to the ER. I also don’t see it documented anywhere where I’d asked a nurse to ask him to return to discuss my painful swollen lymph nodes under my arms and instead, after leaving me waiting for another 45 minutes, sent a message through her for me saying to just “follow up with my PCP (which I don’t have) about that because that’s got to be something different” and sent me home with a possible infection inside my body. I’d give him a zero if it was an option.
