I saw Dr. Maturo a few times for wound care at NKC. Most of my trouble was trying to convey the reality of the pain and discomfort with my wound, but did not take time to answer questions when asked for alternatives or advice to help pain. The responses were how my pain didn’t quite make sense. I have medical conditions that make pain more intense at times and am also autistic and may have trouble communicating or take a little extra time responding and this seems to visibly irritate him and his assistant. My spouse tries to help me communicate too. These diagnoses are listed in my chart as far as I’m aware and I thought that would’ve helped. I felt worse after these check-ups and hopeless.
