Dr. Wakefield serves Rensselaer as doctor and his country as a Colonel in the US Army. In June 2019 he was activated and deployed overseas for 6 months. His practice, the Christian Clinic, more often than not, cannot be reached in person or on the phone. Even the local hospital and pharmacies have a difficult time communicating with his office while he is gone. I needed a refill and his wife who is running the clinic, disputed that I had even seen the doctor in the last year. Even if I could provide proof, she would not authorize a refill.. In any case ... Dr. Wakefield is good. If I were injured, taking into account he is an Army doctor with battlefield experience, I would hope to have him. If you are looking for reliability and a supportive and listening staff ... LOOK ELSEWHERE! Incompetence for them seems to be a keyword. The 2 stars are for him. It would have been more but his staff lost it for him.
