When a Harvard-trained neurologist at one of the most respected hospitals in Asia diagnosed me with epilepsy and advised me to get a followup MRI every 6 to 12 months to stay safe, she warned me that I should never miss a day of the medication she prescribed, because that could actually cause a seizure. Dr. Wiseman actively interfered with my supply of medication, insisting that I should rush to see a neurosurgeon in her network just a couple weeks after I had already gotten an MRI, and refusing to give me a refill prescription that would allow me to travel to see another out-of-network specialist in a couple months without fear of running out of my medication. Basically, she held my health hostage, and tried to call it care.
