Dr Feliberti was my transplant cardiologist when I was first being evaluated at TGH. His incompetence cost me a year plus of worry that I was dying. He placed me on a pump that fed medicine into my heart 24/7. At the time the line was placed in my chest Dr Feliberti told me I had 6 to 12 months to live without a transplant. I had to carry a bag everywhere including to bed 24/7 and Chanel the bag of medicine everyday. I later heard from his boss that "the numbers never justified" being placed on that medicine. The line in my chest also caused a blood infection due to poor handling during a hospitalization at TGH causing two subsequent hospital stays with fever over 103.6. I was later taken off the medication and the line removed and pump returned to sender. I was refused for transplant after a,most a year of tests for three reasons that predates my first appointment with Tampa General. His " care" very nearly cost me my life, and did cost me a year of fear and misery.
