I took my child to see him in the Tristar Hendersonville ER because she was experiencing abdominal pains. He was in her room maybe 5 minutes, pushed on her abdomen and said 'it's acid reflux. There is no need for imaging or blood work'. She is 13 years old and knows what acid reflux is. When I had him come back in to ask questions regarding dietary restrictions, he said he wouldn't worry about that, we can do an elimination diet later and left again. We were seen, incorrectly diagnosed, medicated for acid reflux and were getting discharge papers before the admissions lady had our insurance card. I wonder if he would have been so dismissive had my husband taken her.Within 16 hours, she was in a different ER being seen. That physician took the time and care to do imaging and bloodwork. Turns out, she had an impaction in her upper bowel. He told her what to take and she felt better that evening and back to herself within two days. Dr. Jason Begue is a joke!
