Dr Kirkman was somewhat confusing. His recommendation contradicted what other doctors had stated regarding treatment recommendations. Seemed very interested in training the college student in the room, more so than directing the conversation towards the patient. Pushed hospice and came across condescending. Seemed very scripted with do what brings you joy dialogue , compared to compassionate doctors we have dealt with who made you feel like they were speaking to you, interested in you, the person and not speaking at you. Don’t know if I ever heard the doctor say the patient’s name? Perhaps he is acting out of good intentions but needs to better understand the elderly and what they need from a doctor, instead of giving a speech. Would not recommend .
